- Per Supra instructions, I've plugged my phone into my Supra 28.8E and the
- outside phone line into the modem. When I receive a voice call, the phone
- gives three or four strange 'half-rings' and then stops. My callers,
- both local and toll, report that they hear one ring and then a continual
- fast busy. The problem occurs when the computer and modem are on or off.
- I had the phone line checked and it's okay. Likewise, the phone and
- cables. When I completely disconnect the modem and connect the phone
- directly to the outside line, I receive calls normally. Is this the
- result of poor modem configuration on my part or is it a modem hardware
- problem? Any help will be appreciated.
